New Classes Start June 1st!

The new classes start this Sunday on June 1st. So... this blog will be no more. We hope that the Young Couples and the Growing Families will both have websites so we can keep up with each other. The Honeymooners class has been so blessed and let's pray that these two new classes will continue to be blessed.

The Growing Families class will meet in room 220 and the Young Couples will continue to meet in the same classroom.

There is a Honeymooner's BBQ this Sunday, May 25th after church service for the whole class. We hope this is not the last thing that we do together as a class, but it is to wish both classes happy birthing. So, come on out this Sunday to the Dyniewski's. We need to know how many people are coming so let them know if you are planning to come and if you can bring some food. It should be lots of fun!

Fairwell Honeymooners, Hello Young Couples and Growing Families!

New Classes will be starting on June 1st. The Honeymooners Class will now be two classes.

The older ones are going to be called Growing Families. Growing implies spiritual growth, numerical growth (class, aka growing church family), growing marriages, growing at leaders in the church, numerical growth within families (babies), growth as lifegroups, etc. This class will meet in room 218 (I think).

The younger ones will be called Young Couples. This way it is now open to newly married and dating couples. This class will remain in the present honeymooners classroom.

There was a sign up sheet this Sunday in class and will be next week to give an idea of whom is planning to go to which class. If you are undecided and want to visit both that is fine too.

Baby Connett is Here

Sorry for the late notice, but did want to let everyone know who hasn’t heard that the Connett’s baby girl is here. Melea checked into the hospital late Monday night May 12th and struggled all day Tuesday with the labor. At around 7pm they decided they needed a C-section and went in to get out little Kinley Rae Connett. I say “little”, she came out at 21.5 inches and weighing a whopping 8lbs 12oz. Mommy and baby are doing fine and now at home.

Join the Class for a Fun afternoon: First lunch at Senior tequila at 11:30am and then off to Millenium Bowl in NLR from 1-3pm. Cost is only $2.90 + tax for our group. Shoes are free. Class Meeting

Just a quick reminder about the Class Meeting we’ll be having on Sunday Evening at 5pm up in Rm 222 of the Family Life Center. Childcare will be provided in one of the Nursery Rooms. Jennifer Crow has secured a few teens to watch over the little ones until the Nursery Staff takes over at 5:30. We’ll make every effort to be out of there by 6:30.

Please try to be there, and try to get folks from your LIFE group to attend. Even if you haven’t been too committed in the past, this is the time. If you’ve been looking for ways to serve, this is your opportunity. If you haven’t felt plugged in these last several months or are new to the group, here is a chance to make this Young Couples Ministry better. Hope to see you there!

Travelers Game!

Congratulations to the Fielders!! Jacey Hope Fielder was born 4/16/2008 @ 12:19am . She is 7lbs 7oz and 19.5 in. long. Mom and Baby are both home and doing well! Pray for them this week as this new little one joins the family.

Baby Lily Arrived this morning at 7am weighing in at 7lbs 10oz and is 19" long. They are doing well! Please keep Lily and her parents in your prayers. Congrats to the New Family!

Travelers Game- THIS FRIDAY!!!

Hi everyone!!!

Well the Travs Game is just around the corner, THIS FRIDAY night!!! The gates will open at 6:10 for groups like ours that are eating a meal before the game starts at 7:10. I’m going by to pick up the tickets either today or tomorrow. I was going to have the tickets at the Will Call office but they advised that the line can get pretty long so it’s easier for our group to just get the tickets directly from me. ***This is my plan***. I will see some of you throughout the week and I will give you your tickets then, if I don’t see you I’m going to plan to get to the field around 6:00 on Friday so I can pass out tickets…I’ll wait outside the stadium until 6:15 then whatever tickets I have left I will turn into the Will Call Office for you to pick up. This will allow MOST of us to get our tickets without having to wait in a long line. If you need special arrangements please let me know. If you already know your going to be late let me know that too. Our group has the BAGGAGE PICNIC AREA reserved. This is along the first base line side so when you go in head that way and you’ll see signs. Our tickets will all be grouped together for our seats so that will be fun too!! There will be picnic tables set up for us while we eat then we’ll head down to our seats whenever we’re ready!! If you have any questions please let me know…I’m looking forward to it. Should be a fun night!!!

Miracle League Team

The Tower team is sponsoring a baseball game for the Miracle League Team.The event will be held at Junior Deputy Park on April 19th at 12:45-2:30. Miracle league is baseball team made up of children with special needs. The goal of Miracle League is to promote positive team building and sportsmanship. Each volunteer will be paired with a member of the Miracle League Team. The role of the adult volunteer is to enforce a positive attitude and promote good sportsmanship. We need individuals who would like to volunteer for this very worthy cause. Each volunteer is encourage to where a Metropolitan National Bank Logo t-shirt. Please let me know as soon as possible if this is something that you would like to participate in. I am looking for 25 volunteers

Travelers Game

Congrats to the Smith Family

Wyatt Andrew Smith was born to Ryan and Sarah Smith on March 5th at 4:54am. Weighing 7 lbs 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Please stop and say a quick prayer for the whole family-- for rest, continued health, and thanksgiving that the delivery went well! Congrats Ryan, Sarah and Ethan!

Travelers Game

The Honeymooners will be heading out to the ballpark for some fun and baseball. If you haven't been to Dickey Stephens yet, you need to come and check out the great veiw across the river. The date is April 18th at 6:10pm. We will have a pavilion and will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks. Contact Jennifer Crow if you want a spot or sign up in class this next Sunday. We need money to be due Sunday, March 1st because Jennifer needs to put down the deposit. Prices at this point are $13.50 per person. Kids 2 and under are free. Hope you can join us for a fun night at the ball game.

Honeymooners Cook book

Start digging out those favorite recipes and get readyto share them! After talking with some of the girls in class we have decided to make a Honeymooners ClassCook Book. If you are like me you are tired of making those same old recipes for dinner. This will be a fun and easy way to share our recipes. We are thinking about selling them so we can make some money for our class fund or we can donate the money to a charity. This has not yet been decided; but we will let you know what we decide. All I need you to do is start emailing me recipes. I will be working on this the whole month of February so anytime throughout the month you think of recipes please send them my way. 2007 Baby blessing photos

Photos were taken this past Sunday for the 2007 Baby blessing. They are pretty funny. 26 of the 34 attended. The biggest meltdown would probably be a tie between Carter Bittle (top right) and Jack Vick (front left). Flowers were placed in loving memory of Olivia Faith King.

2007 Baby Blessing

This upcoming Sunday morning during class they will be attempting to take photos of all babies born in 2007. There are 34!!! Please take your child to the Faith in Action room (our old classroom) during class. Also, be sending photos 1 family and 3-5 of your little one to kathy@pvcc.org by this Sunday. The baby blessing will be Sunday evening January 27th with a reception to follow in the E-Wing. You can pick up invitations from Rachel Thurman.
